4.BIO
A professor of the Institute for Population and Development Studies, a researcher of the Center for Aging and Health Research, School of Public Policy and Administration, Xi’an Jiaotong University. She received her Ph.D. in Management Science and Engineering in 2008 from Xi’an Jiaotong University, China. She also studied and worked at Stanford University. As a director, she has received grants from Chinese governments, Natural Science Foundation of China, Social Science Foundation of China. Her research is focused on gender, aging and health in contemporary transitional China, including gender and reproductive health of women, gender imbalance and health risk, family structure, old-age support and health of rural elderly in China. She has published more than 4 books and 50 papers in academic journals such as Journal of Social Indicators Research, Aging and Social Policy, Asia-Pacific Journal of Public Health. She has also won many honors and prizes for herprofessional work.
