The Institute of Real Estate Studies of Xi'an Jiaotong University was founded in 1995 and Professor YANG Donglang is the director. The institute is established relying on rich resource of faculties from majors of Public Administration and Land Resources Management of Xi'an Jiaotong University, and it combines advantages of economics, management, law, engineering and other disciplines. The institute is a teaching and research institution which is mainly engaged in research, consultation and professional training of real estate economy, real estate market investigation, real estate investment, real estate appraisal, urban standard land price evaluation, land policy and land use planning, regional development planning, real estate project planning, real estate project management, laws of real estate, property management and real estate management information system. The institute has completed more than 30 projects of central and local governments and 20 consultation reports, and won over 10 national and provincial research awards. The institute has an important impact on land resource management, real estate management, construction management and other professional areas. Meanwhile, the institute has established a long-term academic exchange relationship with Department of Geography at University of Cincinnati in USA and Department of Urban Studies at University of Glasgow in UK and other internationally well-known universities
