讲座人简介:
Dr. Yuka Makino works for Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations as the team leader of Water and Mountains Team.Her main research areas are natural resources management and disaster management.She now focuses on the sustainable mountain development,forest-water program and the resilient watersheds program. As overall manager of Water and Mountains Team, she is responsible for the ensuring the strategic, timely and effective delivery of the Water and Mountains Team work program. Before this, Dr. Yuka Makino also led projects on road safety and landslide risk management, led and advised projects in climate change and adaptation, fisheries and Community Driven Development and so on.

主题1:International development and environment: project planning and preparation
Covering the fundamental concepts necessary for the preparation of international development projects. The multi-disciplinary and complex nature of understanding all the factors that go into designing projects in developing countries. This is an interactive presentation where audience will be asked questions and participate in the session.
主题2:Career coaching on working in international development and international organizations: What kind of people are international organizations looking for?
Introducing the six key aspects that recruiters for international organizations are looking for when looking for staff. Basic coaching on how to build your career, prepare your CV and perform at your interview.
主题3:FAO program on sustainable mountain development
Covering the various global activities that the Mountain Partnership such as the mountain products initiative, global level policy advocacy etc.
主题4:Building resilience in Mountains regions
Introducing the concepts and principles of disaster risk management and how they can be integrated into the development planning of mountain regions. This is an interactive session where the audience will participate in interactive activities to understand the basic concepts of disaster risk management.
