讲座人：Guy Martin Robinson
讲座人简介：Guy Robinson is a human geographer with over 40 years experience of teaching and researching in universities in Australia, the UK, Canada and New Zealand. He has published eight books and over 200 papers in journals/book chapters and participated in numerous research projects. He holds degrees from the Universities of London and Oxford and has held positions at the Universities of Oxford, Edinburgh, Kingston London and South Australia as well as being an official visitor at 14 different institutions. He joined the University of Adelaide as an Adjunct in June 2015. He has edited the international journal, Land Use Policy(https://www.journals.elsevier.com/land-use-policy),for nine years.
讲座题目1：Bushfires and biodiversity: balancing wildfire risk mitigation and maintaining biodiversity in the Mediterranean biome
讲座内容介绍：This examines the conflict between the need to prevent damaging wildfires (termed bushfires in Australia) whilst maintaining or enhancing biodiversity. It reports on the findings of a major research project funded by the Australian Research Council in which residents living in fire-prone areas were surveyed about their reasons for living in these areas and their fire mitigation behaviour. Different groups in society are recognised from the analysis conducted, which has important implications for how education regarding safety and response to hazards is provided.

讲座内容介绍：This session provides guidance on how to publish in a major international journal. Aimed primarily at postgraduates and early career academics, the presentation draws on the experience of the editor of Land Use Policy, who has edited the journal for the last ten years.
