讲座人简介：
Stuart Basten 是牛津大学人口和社会政策方面的ESRC（经济与社会研究委员会：全英最大的旨在为经济和社会学问题研究提供资金的组织）研究员，他的研究主要关注中国和东亚的人口生育问题，尤其关注生育理想和生育意愿方面的内容。他在剑桥大学获得博士学位，并曾就职于奥地利国际应用系统分析研究所以及英国议会科学与技术部门。
Stuart Basten is an ESRC Research Fellow in Demography and Social
Policy in the Department of Social Policy and Intervention at the
University of Oxford. His research focusses on fertility in China and
East Asia, with a special focus on ideals and intentions. He received
his PhD from the University of Cambridge and has previously work at
the International Institute of Applied Systems Analysis in Austria and
in the UK Parliamentary Office for Science and Technology.
